hello.
so the man walks around this dream that he is in. he strolls around the empty streets, stopping by the groceries store to pick up his canned sardines and baked beans. the world he was in has came to an end fourteen years ago and he was the only one left. he was stuck in this nightmare dimension.
he took many measures to wake himself up. he pinched himself, took cold showers and even slammed the door on his foot. he felt the pain. but pain never seemed enough. there was this three month period where he tried everything he could think of. the first month, he got really creative. the second was a series of repetition of the things that seemed to inflict the most pain. and the last was a frenzy of desperation and poison of defeat.
the man eventually gave up. nothing seemed to work and so, he began to live out his nightmare. he tried to make the best of where he was in. if you can't beat the, join them… right? he went to the empty stores and picked up items that interested him: some magazines, craft materials, video games, gym equipment, a novel, a pack of smokes, a dirty movie… he wanted to accept that this was his new lifestyle. two facts: he was alone. and he was immortal.
doesn't it seem too familiar? that embedded in each of us, we are living this similar story. that we hit a wall when we are fighting with our inner demons. at first, we get inspired and we war with ourselves. there are moments of success but they always come back to haunt us further. over times, reality contaminates our faith.
but i want to believe that life is not so bleak when it comes to deal with the Jesus factor. i mean, if there was some kind of glimmer that could bring some kind of salvation in our secret nightmares, we have to take a chance right? even though it means living out this idea for years, and maybe lifetime hours, it is better than giving up isn't it? to be realistic, my faith does get polluted by my visible conditions. but my hope is that i will not war with myself for long.
i want to wake up.

Philippians 3:14
I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
